Chrysalide examine les protocoles visuels et physiques de la dissimulation corporelle comme stratégie de survie. Le projet se concentre sur le point de rupture de la puberté, moment où le corps féminin devient lisible, exposé et soumis aux injonctions contradictoires de la visibilité — qu'il faille le couvrir ou l'exposer, le regard extérieur y impose sa loi.

La série s'intéresse particulièrement au geste de contention : la bande qui entrave le buste s'éloigne de sa fonction traditionnelle de pudeur pour devenir un outil de protection et de neutralisation des attributs féminins. Ici, la métamorphose ne prépare pas une éclosion, mais orchestre un effacement tactique. En suspendant temporairement son devenir, le corps se replie pour désamorcer la violence scopique et négocier son droit à exister dans l'espace public.

À la frontière de l'archive intime et de la performance sculpturale, Chrysalide interroge la métamorphose contrainte et l'instinct de retrait, capturant des corps en attente d'un espace où la visibilité ne serait plus synonyme de danger.

Chrysalide examines the visual and physical protocols of bodily concealment as a strategy for survival. The project focuses on the rupture point of puberty, a moment when the female body becomes legible, exposed, and subjected to the contradictory injunctions of visibility—whether commanded to cover or to expose, the external gaze imposes its law.

The series is particularly invested in the gesture of restraint: the binding that constricts the torso shifts away from its traditional function of modesty to become a tool of protection and a neutralization of female attributes. Here, metamorphosis does not prepare an unfolding; rather, it orchestrates a tactical erasure. By temporarily suspending its development, the body turns inward to defuse scopic violence and negotiate its right to exist in the public sphere.

At the intersection of intimate archive and sculptural performance, Chrysalide questions constrained metamorphosis and the instinct of withdrawal, capturing bodies in suspension, awaiting a space where visibility is no longer synonymous with danger.
