Feuille, papier, ciseaux
Feuille, papier, ciseaux examines the systemic paradoxes surrounding the visibility and control of bodies, tracing a line from ancient statuary to contemporary social spaces. By confronting fragments of classical iconography—veiled busts, frozen marbles—with the brutality of current power dynamics, the project highlights the fundamental contradiction between the aesthetic sacralization of the human form throughout art history and the reality of physical and structural violence.
Borrowing its structure from the circular logic of a childhood game, the series deploys a conceptual triad: to cover, to cut, to expose. Here, photography operates as a tool for critical dissection, materializing the ways in which power structures appropriate, fragment, and neutralize the subject. Rejecting any linear notion of progress, Feuille, papier, ciseaux exposes the anachronistic permanence of barbarism: the passage of time has not eradicated violence, but rather secularized and commodified it, replacing classical contemplation with a predatory voyeurism. The project thus initiates a rigorous reflection on power, coercion, and the plastic reclamation of bodily integrity.
